AmaTerra Archaeologist Receives White Sands Missile Range Commander's Coin

Exciting news from AmaTerra's team at White Sands Missile Range! Staff archaeologist, Matt Cuba was surprised (literally; he'd been out working in the field that morning) and elated to receive a Commander's Coin from Garrison Commander Colonel Dave Brown and Command Sergeant Major William Wofford yesterday. The coin was presented in appreciation for Matt's work at the post that contributed to WSMR's receipt of the 2016 Secretary of Defense Environmental Award for Cultural Resource Management.

According to the United States Army's policies, coins such as these may only be presented "...for acts of exceptional service, achievement, or special recognition of a job well done, or for unique contributions towards the accomplishment of the Army's mission" (FORSCOM Policy Memo CG 06-1). Clearly this is a very big deal of which we are very proud.

This was a tremendous honor for Matt and all of us here at AmaTerra. Thank you very much, everyone at White Sands Missile Range including Col. Brown and Sgt. Major Wofford and Great Job Matt!!!
