The City of Austin's Historic Cemeteries Master Plan Receives the Preservation Texas Honor Award

AmaTerra project manager, Mason Miller, had the opportunity to take the stage at the State Theater in downtown Austin in support of Kim McKnight and the City of Austin's Parks and Recreation Department as they accepted Preservation Texas' Honor Award for Austin's Historic Cemeteries Master Plan. AmaTerra was the City's prime contractor, working with McDoux Preservation, JMA, and Davey Tree, in developing the Master Plan, a summary and guidance document intended to help in managing the five historic cemeteries it owns. The 700-plus-page Master Plan includes detailed conditions assessments, archival research, GIS data collection and map digitization, public input, tree survey, recommendations
