AmaTerra Archeologist, Mason Miller, receives 2015 Council of Texas Archeologists' E. Mott Davis

AmaTerra was thrilled to learn that one of their team had been selected to receive this year's Council of Texas Archeologists' E. Mott Davis Award for Excellence in Public Outreach. AmaTerra senior archeologist, Mason Miller, led a team of awardees from the Texas Department of Transportation and other private consultants in the development of "Peering Through the Sands of Time" the all-digital, electronic publication available on iTunes and the Google Play

As of now, the free book has been downloaded by more than 300 people in 15 countries from the United States and Mexico to Japan and New Zealand (and many points in between!). AmaTerra was the first to utilize tablet technology to improve public outreach and are excited with these results. Mason was invited to present a summary of the process and findings at the CTA's conference that you can view online by clicking this link.
